About Us
Pamela Campbell and Michael Scornavacchi wanted to have animals on their 80 acre farm. Both were retired successful business owners with grown children and grandchildren and were ready for the commitment of owning livestock.
After going to a community fair and seeing alpacas, they both fell in love with their fluffy coats and sweet dispositions, pursued educating themselves on the care and health of alpacas and llamas and 6 alpacas were purchased. Shortly after, two llamas were purchased. They surrounded themselves with other camelid owners who have shared their knowledge with them and helped them to understand the industry better. That love grew into the herd we now have, which includes some the finest llamas in the country. Our herd is growing, but you can be sure of one thing—we will only breed quality stock, and we will continue to educate ourselves on their care and training.
Michael is involved in the daily farm maintenance and care of the animals, while Pamela trains, grooms & loves on them, and works with them to prepare them for show competitions.
Our goals in owning these beautiful creatures, are to have the world know more about them, breed good dispositions with exceptional conformation, and be good stewards of what God has blessed us with.
Our farm was built in 1812 and we spent 6 years refurbishing the property. We love the beautiful landscape of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the history of this area.
We hope whether you are just visiting Lancaster, or even if you live here, you will visit Spooky Nook Alpaca & Llama Farm and share the beauty we live with each day!
